from the Peninsula: 15. Back in Singapore
Back in Singapore after a very tiring long journey through the Malay Peninsula to Bangkok and back. We went from Butterworth to Johor Bahru in a bus. Arriving in the terminal early in the morning. Then we took a bus to Singapore.
We had a little problem with the Singaporean immigration when we were going to re-enter Singapore. They wanted us to show them our tickets and they scolded us because our tickets were not confirmed yet, it’s still open. But we said sorry and that we would leave soon etc and they let us pass. It was not as bad as what the Malaysian immigration did to a Middle East guy who was on the same bus as us from Thailand. We all went through only in a matter of minutes while he had to go through a special section and it took him an hour!!
We arrived at Nick & Gerry's place this morning very tired, skinny, dark and dirty (no shower for the last 20 hours!!!).
We just went for shower, and then ate. Then we just sat around. Now that I'm fresh after a long shower and a full plate of fried noodles, and all I need is sleep.
The girls will fly home later today, while I will stay for a few more days for the museums.
